More bursaries disbursed due to revised income criteria

1) Last year (2023), CDAC announced a revision in the income criteria for the CDAC-SFCCA Bursary and the CDAC Post-Secondary Bursary (formerly known as the YEAP Grant).

2) Due to this revision, we observed an 18% increase in bursary applications and about $500,000 more in disbursements in 2024. The figures for the increment are as follows:

3) We understand parents are most concerned about their children’s education. As such, CDAC has set aside $41.02 million to run its programmes and support schemes. We will enhance our efforts to reach out and support our children, youth, and families in 2025. The budget estimate for 2025 is 9% higher than the projected spending of $37.61 million in the current year (2024).

4) As part of the “Planting Grass, Growing Trees” (种草植树) strategy, CDAC will continue to extend our support to low-income families in the Chinese community through our various broad-based and deepened support programmes and assistance schemes. We welcome like-minded community members to support us as we continue this journey to uplift the underprivileged. A little from all, together it’s more.
