Developing Children & Youth / Mentoring Support/ GEM Mentoring Programme

GEM Mentoring Programme

Targeted at primary school-going children, the GEM (Go the Extra Mile) Mentoring Programme aims to provide long-term support for children from their primary to post-secondary years. This is done by strengthening their transitions in their respective schools through developing their confidence, strengths and interests, fostering friendships and involving parents and community organisations. We have established partnerships with several Primary Schools such as Teck Whye Primary School, Dazhong Primary School, Ang Mo Kio Primary School and Zhenghua Primary School for this programme.

Based on preliminary feedback from our partner schools, we have noted that the children are showing positive changes in their behaviour, such as being able to manage their emotions, an increased willingness to share what they have learnt with their families and adopting a more positive mindset towards learning. We look forward to more positive outcomes through our sustained and holistic approach in the near future and beyond.

Participation in this programme is by invitation only.
