1. Tutors (2-year Contract)

Key Job Duties

  • Tutor and coach students who need academic support in one or more subjects (English, Math, Science or Chinese language) for Primary and Secondary levels for CDAC Tuition Programme students.
  • Conduct enrichment programmes during school holidays.
  • Design programme materials.
  • Motivate students to love learning and build good character and values in them.

Requirements

  • Good content knowledge of the subject(s) taught and familiarity with the latest MOE syllabuses and assessment modes.
  • Passion to teach and help students who need support in their academic studies.
  • Able to teach both secondary and primary school students.
  • Able to work on weekday afternoons and evenings, and on weekend mornings and afternoons.
  • Able to travel to various locations (CDAC Centres/schools) for work.

Qualification and Experience

  • NIE-trained; or recognised General Degree holder with at least 3 years’ teaching experience as a full-time tutor or as a teacher in MOE schools.
  • Ex-MOE teachers preferred.
  • Singaporeans or PR only.

2. Student Coach (2-year Contract)

Key Job Duties

  • Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring and coaching to a group of students identified based on specific needs.
  • Support them in their academic studies and social emotional development.
  • Help students set goals and work out individual learning plans.
  • Befriend children and youths-in-need and connect them to the relevant resources.
  • Make assessment and plans interventions for our children and youths.
  • Plan and conduct engagement activities for children and youths.

Qualification and Experience

  • Have a Degree preferably in social work, psychology or counseling.
  • Added advantage if candidate has prior experience working with and mentoring children and youths.
  • Able to work independently and in a team, possess good interpersonal, communication and written skills.
  • Demonstrate emotional maturity and genuine passion to work with children and youths.
  • Patient and able to understand challenges faced by lower-income families.
  • Able to work on weekday afternoons and evenings, and on weekend mornings and afternoons.
  • Able to travel to various locations (CDAC Centres/schools) for work.

3. Assistant Manager/ Manager, Curriculum and Tutor Professional Development Unit, Student and Parent Education Department (SPE)

Key Job Duties

  • Deploy and manage tutors in the CDAC Tuition Programme.
  • Assure quality of CDAC student programme.
  • Plan and organise training or professional development workshops.
  • Oversee the planning, development and implementation of Science and Mathematics curriculum material and resources for students’ programme based on curricula requirements.
  • Any other department related administrative work.

Qualification and Experience

  • Possess a Degree in Science or Mathematics, and preferably with Diploma in Education or Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
  • Have teaching and/ or curriculum design or editorial experience in Science and/ or Mathematics.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in MOE schools.
  • Understand the latest developments and market landscape in Science and/ or Mathematics education for primary and secondary school age groups.
  • Meticulous, organised, pro-active and flexible.
  • High sense of responsibility, positive working attitude, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to deliver high-quality work under demanding deadlines.
  • Proficient in both English & Chinese language.
  • Intermediate IT skills in Powerpoint, Excel, Words, and Google applications, knowledge of online video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet is a plus.

4. Executive/ Senior Executive, Student and Parent Education Department (SPE)

Key Job Duties

  • Plan, organise and manage programmes to promote youth development and engagement.
  • Facilitate youth activities and sessions with youths.
  • Engage with youths to build good rapport and extend appropriate help to those in need of support.
  • Coordinate publicity to promote youth participation.
  • Conduct feedback/survey to evaluate effectiveness of youth programmes.
  • Work closely with partners such as corporates and education institutes to initiate collaborative projects.

Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma in any field.
  • Experience working with or facilitating programmes for youths.
  • Good interpersonal skills, enthusiastic personality and a team player.
  • Savvy with various social media platforms.
  • Able to multi-task and work on weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Words and Canva.

5. Executive / Senior Executive, Fulfilling Ageing (Maternity Cover)

Key Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate senior learning programmes and activities at CDAC Centres and in the Community to help seniors stay active and lead an exciting fulfilling ageing journey.
  • Plan and coordinate big scale projects for the seniors for example, CDAC-SFCCA Project C.A.R.E. (Caring and Reaching out to elderly), Dumpling Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and Chong Yang Festival.
  • Work with volunteers and partners in programme planning and implementation.
  • Perform other general administrative duties.

Qualification and Experience

  • Keen to work with seniors and volunteers.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented attitude.
  • Strong organising skills with the ability to work independently.
  • A good team player.
  • Willing to work on weekends.
