1. Senior / Executive (Community Outreach and Engagement)

Job Description

You will manage the day to day operations of a CDAC Centre.  You will proactively network with schools, VWOs, GROs and private organisations on outreach, collaboration of projects and implementation of programmes.

You will faithfully follow CDAC and statutory guidelines and regulations to deliver an excellent and meaningful service experience to our beneficiaries.

Key Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage the smooth management of operations in CDAC Centre in all aspects such as supervising the admin support staff, work scheduling, services provided to the beneficiaries and paper work administration.
  • Oversee and organize programmes and ad-hoc projects to enhance the well-being of beneficiaries.
  • Implement programmes initiated by the various departments to serve the needs of the local community.
  • Engage and network with schools, VWOs, GROs and private organisations on outreach, collaboration of projects and implementation of programmes.
  • To visit the centre as and when required and be based at centre when need arises.
  • Plan, supervise and upkeep the maintenance of the centre by supervising all repairs, maintenance and alterations of the centre.
  • Any other matters as approved by Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma.
  • Relevant experience in social service-related field preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated, enthusiastic personality and strong work ethic as an individual contributor and collaborative team player, requiring minimum supervision.

2. Senior / Executive (Family & Worker Support)

The Executive provides casework support to low-income families and individuals in improving their resources and ability to cope with their challenges. He/She manages programmes to build beneficiaries’ resilience and family bonds. He/She also works with stakeholders, such as volunteers and partners, in programme planning and implementation.

Key Job Duties

a) Case Management

  • Assesses and recommends appropriate financial assistance and other forms of support to families and individuals.
  • Support and monitors families’ progress in improving their resources and ability to cope with their challenges.

b) Programme Management

  • Plans and coordinates activities to build beneficiaries’ resilience in financial management, healthy living and strengthening their familial ties.
  • Plans and coordinates projects to engage and support beneficiaries
  • Evaluate the activities and projects

c) Stakeholders Management

  • Engages volunteers and partners in programme planning and implementation
  • Manages volunteers systematically from recruitment, training to providing feedback and recognition.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree, preferably in Social Sciences
  • Has passion to work with low-income families and volunteers.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented attitude
  • Strong organising skills with the ability to work in teams and independently
  • Ability to converse in English, Mandarin and preferably a dialect
  • Caring, responsible and resilient
  • Proactive in learning

3. Tutors (2-year Contract)

Key Job Duties

  • Tutor and coach students who need academic support in one or more subjects (English, Math, Science or Chinese language) for Primary and Secondary levels for CDAC Tuition Programme students.
  • Conduct enrichment programmes during school holidays.
  • Design programme materials.
  • Motivate students to love learning and build good character and values in them.

Requirements

  • Good content knowledge of the subject(s) taught and familiarity with the latest MOE syllabuses and assessment modes.
  • Passion to teach and help students who need support in their academic studies.
  • Able to teach both secondary and primary school students.
  • Able to work on weekday afternoons and evenings, and on weekend mornings and afternoons.
  • Able to travel to various locations (CDAC Centres/schools) for work.

Qualification and Experience

  • NIE-trained; or recognised General Degree holder with at least 3 years’ teaching experience as a full-time tutor or as a teacher in MOE schools.
  • Ex-MOE teachers preferred.
  • Singaporeans or PR only.

4. Student Coach (2-year Contract)

Key Job Duties

  • Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring and coaching to a group of students identified based on specific needs.
  • Support them in their academic studies and social emotional development.
  • Help students set goals and work out individual learning plans.
  • Befriend children and youths-in-need and connect them to the relevant resources.
  • Make assessment and plans interventions for our children and youths.
  • Plan and conduct engagement activities for children and youths.

Qualification and Experience

  • Have a Degree preferably in social work, psychology or counseling.
  • Added advantage if candidate has prior experience working with and mentoring children and youths.
  • Able to work independently and in a team, possess good interpersonal, communication and written skills.
  • Demonstrate emotional maturity and genuine passion to work with children and youths.
  • Patient and able to understand challenges faced by lower-income families.
  • Able to work on weekday afternoons and evenings, and on weekend mornings and afternoons.
  • Able to travel to various locations (CDAC Centres/schools) for work.

5. Senior / Executive (Assistance and Support)

Key Job Duties

  • Administer and process applications for bursary, subsidy and other student support schemes.
  • Follow up on the completeness of information/ supporting documents and means- test applicants’ eligibility for support scheme(s).
  • Assess applicants’ financial situation and ensure that data is correctly computed before putting up recommendation of help scheme or referrals.
  • Evaluate the varied application scenarios and ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures are adhered for timely processing of application and fund disbursement.
  • Communicate with parents, schools and members of public on schemes’ guidelines and application outcomes.
  • Multi-task and handle ad-hoc assignment.

6. Senior / Executive (Student & Parent Education)

Key Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate and manage tuition, enrichment and holiday programmes.
  • Work closely with tutors, service providers, volunteers and parents to manage the programme quality, and track the development and progress of students.
  • Work with Cluster Supervisors and Curriculum Specialists to evaluate programmes.
  • Liaise with schools, GROs, VWOs and other partners on programme/projects.
  • Organise ad-hoc projects.
  • Assist with department projects/events.

7. Admin Support (CDAC@ Bukit Panjang)

CDAC centres are strategically located island-wide to better serve students, workers and families. We aim to provide its services and programmes to the community near to their homes.

Reporting to Centre-in-charge, job scope as follows:

  • Opening and closing of centre (1pm to 10pm on weekdays and 10am to 5pm on weekends).
  • Manning the library counter and performing librarian duties which include stocktaking, etc.
  • Attending to call in walk-in public enquiries.
  • Rendering prompt assistance and support to fellow co-worker and public who need the help.
  • Performing clerical duties such as collection of fee in cash/subsidy vouchers/cheques, issue of receipts, booking of facilities, registration for courses/activities by members etc.
