CDAC Supervised Homework Group Graduation Ceremony & Family Day 2023

On 11 November 2023, the CDAC Supervised Homework Group (SHG) Graduation Ceremony took place at the Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre, honouring sixty eight Primary 6 graduates who participated in the SHG programme. “Student of the Year” awards were also presented at the ceremony to recognise students with commendable progress and positive learning dispositions.

In addition to celebrating the students' progress over the past year, the ceremony also included a special segment that showcased their talents, adding an element of fun and entertainment to the event. The ceremony also serves as an opportunity to acknowledge our dedicated SHG volunteers for their invaluable contributions, as well as to express gratitude for the consistent support CDAC has received from its partners.

We were grateful to have Mr Baey Yam Keng, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment & Ministry of Transport and CDAC Board Member, join us for the ceremony. In his address, he encouraged graduates to continue contributing to CDAC in the future and to uphold the organisation's spirit of giving and volunteerism.

SHG is a volunteer-led mentoring and tutoring programme targeted at students from CDAC’s case-managed families. This year-long programme offers weekly tutoring sessions and a variety of non-academic activities. Currently, there are 144 students enrolled in the programme across seven CDAC Centres and Vibrance @ Yishun, supported by 160 dedicated volunteer mentors.
