Youth Empowerment & Aspiration Programme (YEAP)

The Youth Empowerment and Aspiration Programme (YEAP) supports less privileged full-time post-secondary students, not only in their educational expenses through the YEAP Grant but also encourages them to pursue their passion, provides them with exposure to real work environment, and develops their life skills through YEAP Inspire.

YEAP Grant

YEAP Grant provides financial support to less-privileged full-time post-secondary students to help them defray their educational expenses.

CDAC will work with the following institutions to invite needy students to receive the CDAC YEAP Grant:

  • Junior Colleges
  • Centralised Institute
  • Integrated Programme (IP) Schools (Year 5 and 6)
  • Polytechnics
  • Institute of Technical Education (ITE)
  • Singapore Sports School (Year 5 and 6)
  • School of the Arts (Year 5 and 6)
  • Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts
  • LASALLE College of the Arts

Quantum

Each nominated student will receive $720 of YEAP Grant per academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Race / Nationality
    Student or one of the parents must be a Chinese Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident
  • Household Income
    Gross monthly household income (MHI) not exceeding $1,900; OR
    Gross monthly per capita income (PCI) not exceeding $650

YEAP Inspire

YEAP Inspire offers programmes and activities to encourage full-time post-secondary students to pursue their dreams and support them in life skills development.

Programmes include work experience programmes, company visits and life skills workshops to prepare youths for work.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Race / Nationality
    Student or one of the parents must be a Chinese Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident
  • Age
    Between 17 to 25 years
  • Household Income
    Gross monthly household income (MHI) not exceeding $3,300; OR
    Gross monthly per capita income (PCI) not exceeding $900
