Youth Empowerment & Aspiration Programme (YEAP)

The Youth Empowerment and Aspiration Programme (YEAP) supports less privileged full-time post-secondary students, not only in their educational expenses through the YEAP Grant but also encourages them to pursue their passion, provides them with exposure to real work environment, and develops their life skills through YEAP Inspire.

YEAP Grant

YEAP Grant offers financial support to eligible students to help them defray part of their educational expenses. The grant is not opened for application. Eligible students will be nominated by their post-secondary schools to receive YEAP Grant.

CDAC will work with the following schools with regard to the nomination:

  • Junior Colleges
  • Millennia Institute
  • Integrated Programme (IP) Schools (Year 5 and 6)
  • Specialised Independent Schools – School of the Arts, Singapore Sports School, NUS High School of Math and Science (Year 5 and 6)
  • Polytechnics
  • Institute of Technical Education (ITE)
  • Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts
  • LASALLE College of the Arts

Quantum

$720 per academic year

Eligibility Criteria

  • Race / Nationality
    Student or one of the parents must be a Chinese Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Age
    17 to 25 years old

  • Household Income
    Gross monthly household income not exceeding $2,400 or gross per capita income not exceeding $800

YEAP Inspire

YEAP Inspire offers programmes and activities to encourage full-time post-secondary students to pursue their dreams and support them in life skills development.

Programmes include work experience programmes, company visits and life skills workshops to prepare youths for work.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Race / Nationality
    Student or one of the parents must be a Chinese Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Age
    Aged between 17 to 25 years old
  • Household Income
    Gross monthly household income not exceeding $4,800 or gross per capita income not exceeding $1,400
