A) CDAC Workfare Programme

 

Helps low-income families, including single-parent families, to become self-reliant through employment.

 

 

Who can apply

  • Chinese Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents;
  • Willing to engage in full-time or part-time employment;
  • Have dependant household members to support; and
  • Monthly gross household income not exceeding $1,500 or per capita income not exceeding $450. 

Assistance Schemes

  • Job-matching and subsidies for skills training courses;
  • Subsidies for nanny, childcare and/or student-care fees;
  • Subsideies for rental, utilities and/or service and conservancy charges;
  • Food vouchers;
  • Enrichment programmes for children;
  • Family bonding activities;
  • Follow-up by Family Befrienders; and
  • Project RAISE (Realising AspIrations through Skills and Education) - Supports potential Workfare Programme's cases to achieve social mobility through provisions of grants for skills training and education and mentorship to parents/children.

  • Application and type of assistance schemes will be assessed and determined on a case-by-case basis.
