NITEC IN SERVICE SKILLS (OFFICE)


 

INTRODUCTION

The Nitec in Service Skills (Office) course trains participants to be competent in administrative tasks in an office environment.

 

COURSE CONTENT

Comprises of 8 modules :

 

- Effective Communication             - Effective Writing

- Office Computing                        -Office Organisation

- Business Software Applications  - Office Procedures

- Elementary Book-Keeping            - Book-Keeping

 

COURSE MEDIUM  

English

 

COURSE SCHEDULE

Twice a week on weekday evenings (1 year duration)

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Applicants should be above 18 years old & with :

 

a)                  3 GCE ‘N’ passes with English (grade 1-5) and 2 other subjects or

b)                  2 GCE ‘O’ passes in any subjects (grade 1-8)

 

Applicants who do not have the above qualification or have lost their documentary proof, would have to enroll for an Entry Test administered by the ITE. The details are as follows :

*Upon successful completion and attainment of Nitec in Service Skills (Office) Certification

 

Award holders must achieve at least 75% attendance and sit for all examinations. Those who failed to do so would have to refund the sponsored amount of $900 to CDAC.

 

Trainees must bear their own cost of training materials, Admin/registration charges and exam fees of approximately $650.
