INTRODUCTION

The aim of the course is to prepare new trainees and existing assistants who are working in child care centres, to provide learning support to teachers and in helping out in the daily routine care of young children.

Module 1: Child Development and Guidance (30hrs)

Module 2 : Creative Approaches to Caring and Learning (35hrs)

Module 3 : Safety, Health and Nutrition (25hrs )

Module 4 : Professional Development (20hrs)

Module 5 : Working with Families (10hrs)

Module 6 : Supervised Practice (60hrs)

180 hours (120 hours theory + 60 hours practicum)
